Conference Scholarships Overview
The Teacher Center of Central Westchester offers national/international scholarship awards each year to individual teachers from its consortium who are seeking to attend a national/international conference related to their discipline and interest in professional development. The Albert Shanker National/International Conference Scholarship, established in 1998, supports teachers to attend a major national/international conference, with a maximum award of $2,000. The recipients of these scholarships are honored at the Teacher Center's Annual Reception, when they share what they have learned from their new professional development experiences.
